Many people decide to seek individual therapy after some sort of crisis: a break-up, career change, or loss of a loved one. Others are looking for relief from depression, anxiety, or low self-esteem. Individual psychotherapy can help with all of these issues.
I work with people who are seeking change in their life. Perhaps you've wondered, "Why do I keep making the same mistakes over and over again?" Psychotherapy can help answer that and many other questions and put you on the path toward greater acceptance of yourself and others.
For individual therapy, I see patients once or twice a week depending on the nature of the presenting issues. The purpose of the first session is to find out why you've come to therapy and to see if we're a good fit. Finding the right therapist with whom you feel comfortable is extremely important. After deciding to work together, we'll discuss your goals for therapy and begin collaboratively working toward them.
